It was a gorgeous day. I wore my new spring jacket but it was so nice and warm I took it off after a short while. We enjoyed walking around looking at the blossoms and eating ice cream in the park and walking by the river. There was a boat show, too! Very exciting. Very small, but a boat show nonetheless. Really made me want to get out on the water soon! I will have to look for a river cruise in the near future.
We found a fancy cafe near the National Assembly and had phat thai on the patio. Then we found our way to the bus stop. We decided to head for Gangnam to the hookah bar we like. However on the subway I overheard the boys plotting to trick me into going to Hooters with them first. So, we did. It was a typical Hooters experience. Lots of men looking at waitresses and mediocre wings. Anyway then we went to the hookah bar. We had to wait a few minutes for a seat but lucky for us we were then shown to the loft, which is the best seat in the house. We had some hookah and some drinks and listened to the band, and made friends with the US army guys next to us.
Overall a good weekend. Next weekend we are having a foreigner barbecue...it had been planned for Sunday but now half the people want to change it to Saturday, so i'm not sure when it will be or how many people will be there. But hopefully it will be fun anyway.
Taekwondo is going well. Still rocking the nunchucks, and getting better at two at a time.
Otherwise not a whole lot to report. Let me know if you have any questions!

I think that I could actually eat that shrimp. Just about the first food that I've seen a picture of that I think I could stomach!
Do the boats go on the river and does the river go into North Korea? If so, is there a giant iron curtain across the river? Great pictures as usual! Dad
I told you the food is good here! You're clearly just a picky eater.
Yes, the Han river meets another river at the border of North Korea. but i am guessing there are machine guns rather than an iron curtain guarding it.
by the way dad, what would you do if you were served a lunch consisting of white rice, spam, kimchi, tofu, and fish intestine and roe soup (spicy)?
....
I win.
I was able to visit DC and see their cherry blossoms. It is a beautiful sight. Had brunch at Anne's Easter. George (46th birthday) & Kevin. They left early & Anne, Greg, Marie & I played dominoes. Korea food certainly is interesting. Grandma
