Ok, so first here is a picture from my veranda of the building across the street that holds my school and taekwondo studio. You can kind of see the tomato logo...and to the left of that there is blue and red lettering, and one floor up is taekwondo. So you see, I can literally see in the windows of both places and vice versa. Hence the need for curtains.

Now this is what you see when you first walk in the door. Straight ahead is the new teacher's bedroom when she comes. To the left of that is her bathroom. To the right you can see the living room and you can see stretching along the outside there is the veranda.

Here is Sherry's bathroom.

Sherry's room. I guess it used to be a kids room. I hope she doesn't mind the foam padding on the walls and get the wrong idea.

Living room! And you can see the veranda to the left there. To the right you can see the hallway to my room on the end, and the 3rd bedroom.

Here is my kitchen with the hallowed Oven we are all so excited about. It has never been used. I don't really know what to cook in it yet. I need some bakeware. But we already have plans for 2 Thanksgiving dinners with roast chicken or duck!
The doorway leads to the laundry room.

Here's the spare bedroom. You can see it's also connected to the veranda. Ideally we'd get a spare bed in there but I suspect the director won't go for that. But we'll have to figure something out.

Now for the best part...My Room! It's more like a wing. The West Wing. Actually I don't know what direction it is. It might be north. But the West Wing is a better term for it, don't you think? To show it in all it's glory will take a photo montage. Here:
bedroom

Here's a pic from the same spot only turned around. You can see my bathroom, vanity, and rear storage/veranda.

Closeup of bathroom. Note that it's a REAL shower and none of this over-the-toilet nonsense.

Here is the rear storage closet/veranda. It stretches the length of the wing. Pretty good size.

My glorious walkin closet. Now I just need to go shopping in Seoul to fill it up!

Here is my private front veranda. Note that it faces the school/taekwondo building across the street. I have already set up a bedsheet curtain here.

Finally here is a photo of the main veranda. I'm standing on one end looking towards the other, so you can see how long it is. My room is the only one not connected to it.

So, now you've seen the gloriousness of my new digs! Pretty cool, huh? Now I just need to make it feel more like home and I'll be all set. I've got satellite TV hooked up, the internet kind of works, and I have a futon in the living room. I need to clean the floors and try out the bathtub before Sherry gets here. And hopefully there will be some kind of party soon.
I was going to post pics of me in my taekwondo uniform but I need to take some better ones. And try to remember how to tie the belt properly. That will be a post for another day.
But yeah, quite a difference from my old place, huh? Although I kind of miss the pink poppy wallpaper and permeating smell of kimchi, this place will do nicely I think.

NICE - very nice! you should have put the toilet seat down before doing the photo shoot!! lol are you and your new "roomie" going to go furniture shopping" where do you eat?...one the floor? Mom
Technically our director is supposed to buy all of our furnishings. Although when I mentioned curtains to her the other day she didn't seem to think them necessary. However after her calling me tonight about my choice of lights to turn on in my living room I'm thinking they are more than necessary.
I would like to at least get one of those traditional Korean tables on the floor. I would imagine I could get a used one online for really cheap. I'll have to do that before Canadian Thanksgiving, which we have decided I will host in October.
I'll just assume Sherry is ok with that. If not, too bad.
Great looking apartment!! Grandma
