Last day of Chuseok vacation

Well, it's now Sunday evening. Tomorrow is back to school, back to work, back to the stress of Kindy. It's been a pretty good break...lots of interesting things happened, as you read.
I'm hoping that with this new week I can get a new foothold on my Kindy class and make some more progress. I have a feeling it will be tough tomorrow, after a whole week off. But hopefully it works out. I need to plan this week's schedule. Luckily Sean and Taekwondo both gave me the ok to bring my kids up to the gym every day so hopefully giving them the chance to run around and maybe even rest will help keep things under control. We shall see. I think this week is going to be another interesting one...

On Tuesday night my roommate/new co-worker arrives. I am somewhat apprehensive about this. Even if she's the coolest person in the world, having a roommate will be a huge adjustment for me. I've lived by myself for 5 of the 8 years I moved away from Fairmont and I like it that way. I am someone who needs my own space sometimes. Hopefully I can still have that. Luckily with the way the apartment is set up I have plenty of room in my wing to hang out. And I can still see the dojang from there..lol.
We still don't have a bed for her so hopefully that gets taken care of tomorrow! Everything else I think we'll take as it comes. Hopefully she's easy going. She's lucky, when I came here I was alone all my first day and kind of freaking out. She doesn't have to worry about navigating by herself if she doesn't want to. I think in a way it will be nice to have a roomie, I hope. But who knows. I'll just try to look on the bright side. I don't want to judge her before I even meet her!
So on Tuesday after I get back from Taekwondo she'll probably be here. Going to have to utilize the bathtub at least once more before then!

Speaking of Taekwondo, I'm excited to get back in to it. We only had class Monday and Friday this week. Friday we were with the kids and he made us do 300 reps of front kicks again. Damn that is hard on the hamstrings. But even though we had several days off I notice that my legs don't hurt nearly as bad as they did last time! So, i guess that's a good sign! I think I have eaten more this week than I have the whole time i've been here, just like over American Thanksgiving. So it will be nice to start working out again and reversing the damage. I already have lost 7 pounds or so. Not bad!

Plus I'm getting more and more frustrated that I can't speak Korean, especially to Taekwondo. My new resolution is to use at least one new Korean phrase every night. Hannah is going to help me. Tomorrow it is 주말 어떻게 보넀어요?
I've been practicing all weekend.

I shared this on my facebook page but thought I'd put it here as well. Taekwondo (whose name I have gathered so far is something like 죄 정 ....it's on his belt) went to Kyung Hee University and was, I believe, on their demo team. He told us about a big event they have in October and I think we will all go together to see it. It's in Suwon. Here is a video I found on youtube of what they do.

How awesome is that?? Yeah, by the time I come back to the states I'll be breaking boards in mid-air from a back flip. Just wait.

Well, wish me luck in the coming week. Between Kindy, roommate, and TKD, I'm going to need it!
